NFL Memorabilia On Display At New Jersey Science Center
In less than 2 weeks, the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks will go head to head at Metlife Stadium, the home of the 2014 Super Bowl. In anticipation of the big day, Liberty Science Center in New Jersey is giving fans an opportunity to get a firsthand look at the Vince Lombardi Trophy, the crown jewel of the National Football League, which will be awarded to the team that wins the Super Bowl.
Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an exhibition currently on display at the Liberty Science Center, invites fans of all ages to celebrate the past and present of America most popular sport.
The exhibition includes over 2,000 artifacts on loan from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Viewable artifacts include a game ball used by Jim Thorpe, items from the Immaculate Reception game, and jerseys worn by Mean Joe Greene and Johnny Unitas. A raining camp gallery of interactive exhibits features throwing, kicking, and jumping challenges that allow guests to find out if they have what it takes to play in the NFL.
As game day grows closer, former New York Giants and New York Jets will make personal appearances to meet fans and participate in sports challenges.
